How to choose a style of home decor?

Hi I really like two different styles and I can’t make up my mind between an earthy, bohemian style, or a quirky style full of offbeat decor, something a kind of indie kid would like. How do I choose between the two? Keep sharing and reading Thanks

Pick out your large pieces and find one other thing that's an inspiration (a rug, a piece of art) and build around there.
My favorite style is Arts & Crafts. I decided that early on, and every time I go shopping, that's in mind.

The Victorian Age was marked by a desire to control and restrain the natural world. Wunderkabinets, nature collections and technical drawings of nature all symbolised this mentality. In a steampunk home, labelled collections of real or drawn butterflies, birds’ eggs and insects can be displayed in heavy wooden frames or placed under glass to evoke a Victorian feel.

The problem with committing to a very specific design style is that once you start, it is hard to break out, even if you find something that you really love (it will stand out if most of your home is a different style). you dont need to commit to a specific design style for your home to look fabulous. it sounds like your style, however, is “eclectic,” which means you take design from many different sources. it can be quite charming, if you do it correctly. dont use clashing colors. and dont pick to many colors. keep things simple- too many accessories and furniture can crowd a room and make it feel overwhelming and small. choose only things that you love. it will feel like home, which is the most important thing!

Color scheme is the most important thing that should be taken into account.A good color combo adds a plus to the look of the room.

In some rooms it almost becomes impossible to choose color. I totally agree with Dan on this.
I think the best way is to consider the irremovable articles in the room and then adjust other colors according to that color.

Hi, I was also confused like you when I shifted to my new home. I want to decor it uniquely. So for the same I just start reading books and article and after that I decor it by my own style. And now I am happy and satisfied.
