my turtle was dead in a month . why was that so?

i bought a small turtle before 10 or 15 days before this winter .i fed him as the pet shop owner told me but after a month he was dead .why was that so?????plz answer

You didn't even mention what type of turtle. My guess is improper care all the way around. Most pet store employees, owners included, do not know how to properly care for reptiles. Who even knows what the condition of the turtles health was when you bought it.

Had you researched on turtles before getting it? Did you know what size tank it needed, how much land space it needed, what filter and heater it needed?
The pet shop should of really made sure you knew what to do as well though, so he could have been sick when you got him.
